Transom Rot Replacement

What's involved

The transom carries your engine, and once water finds the core it rots from the inside out. We remove the failed core, dry and prep the structure, and rebuild with fresh coring fully bonded and glassed — restoring a solid, dependable mounting surface.

When you need it

• Flex or movement when you trim or torque the engine
• Soft spots, cracks, or weeping around the bolt holes
• Water staining or a damp smell at the transom
• Drilling reveals dark, wet, or crumbling core

How we do it

We open the transom, cut out all compromised core, and rebuild it layer by layer with marine-grade materials — then re-glass, seal every penetration, and finish it so it looks and performs like new.
